About Glass Lady Lisa

Thanks for your interest in Glass Lady Lisa.

This business was just opened in 2007 so that I could have an outlet for my passion for glass!  Once upon a time...about twelve years ago, I found the joy of stained glass. My passion (obsession?) grew and I started making mosaics. Then...a class in fusing--Poof! A magical transformation in the way that I looked at glass art! Fusing glass is a constant surprise--every time I open the kiln!
The majority of the glass used in my jewelry is called dichroic glass--dichroic glass is a specially made glass that is almost like a hologram--it changes color because of changes in light and the color of whatever is around it--it has an extra special sparkle and shimmer. dichroic glass was originally designed for NASA to use on satellites because of it's reflective quality.
All of the glass used in my art is of the highest quality and is created to last a long, long time--the glass is tempered by the fusing process which makes it exceptionally strong.  Since I haven't personally tested the finished product in a microwave, it is NOT recommended that any glassware be used in a microwave.
More art pieces will be added as time goes on, so come back regularly. Please send your comments on the glass--every day is a learning experience and your opinions will help me to grow!
